On our drive up to Woodstock for a recording session, Larry and I were
trading stories. I knew I had a good 10 years on him and I was telling him
about the time I went to Carnegie Hall in 1968 with Arlo for the Tribute to
Woody Guthrie. Bob Dylan had been out of public view for a long time, and that
night he made a surprise appearance with The Band. I was going on about what a
special show it was and who was there and all that , and Larry said, "yeah, I
know, I was there" I said.. really !!? and he said, "yeah, I was in the
audience with my parents, I was 13 years old."
