Comments: Larry sat in with my band "Dale Allen & Pearl Studs' a couple of times at City Limits and my wife and I attended his wedding. I'm hoping to get to hear him tomorrow night at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville if I can find tickets. What an awesome musician.

Comments: Hi Larry,
First time I saw you play was in Massachusetts in April 1997 as part of Bob's band. At that time, my friends and I thought, "why is Bob replacing John Jackson? And who is this kid he's replacing him with?" You did look like a kid up there next to Bob...and I distinctly remember watching Bob lean towards you while doing one of his three-note riffs to sort of "guide" you as to what he was looking for, and seeing you pick it up and smile in response. It looked very joyful...though perhaps I was projecting.
It took about a minute for me to understand why Bob wanted you in his band. I'm sure I'm not the first person to tell you that my best live-Bob memories are with you in his band. I like what Bob is doing now too...but you brought something to the endeavor that has not been matched since.
I regret that I was never able to witness the Ramble prior to Levon's departure, but I continue to enjoy your work...both with Theresa and as a producer. As a big-time Band lover, I appreciate the work you have done to carry the torch.
But...I've lost the point of what brought me here in this first place. Do you know of any great bozouki players in the Brooklyn area who give lessons? Why would I ask you that question? I didn't know what a bozouki was until I saw you play one with Bob...on "Bline Willie McTell," as I recall.
All the best,
JDS

Comments: Is Larry Campbell related to Mike Campbell? I recently saw Marty Stuart open with I Know You Rider then Running Down A Dream later in the set. Just a happy coincidence?

Comments: Dear Larry,
I'm late to the party, but today I stumbled into your song "When I Go Away" from the Electric Dirt cd. I can't think of another song that has touched my soul so deeply. What a gift. I'm still reeling from the impact of this song, but I just wanted to say "thank you" for the work you do and for channeling this energy. God Bless,
Tim Brezina

Comments: THANK YOU to Larry and Teresa for their amazing performance at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY on December 10. We have been enjoying their gift of music since having the privilege of attending several of the midnight Rambles when they played with Levon Helm and his daughter Amy Helm. LOVE "Keep your light trimmed and burning".... when they sing the spiritual songs my feet, heart and soul and not be still....their music gift makes me want fly. Again...THANK YOU

Comments: I first saw Larry at Concord CA playing for Bob. Wasn't exactly sure who this somewhat dark looking guy was but the music was great. I was 60 and took my 3 boys and now we all play. Come back to Clayton, NY. You are missed!
