ELECTRIC BARITONE GUITAR: Danelectro invented this guitar in the late 50's. Soon it was the rage of the 60's. It has a long neck, 6 strings, and is a hybrid of the standard electric guitar and the electric bass guitar. Because its strings are slightly lower than that of a regular guitar, but still higher in tone than the bass, it is a very versatile instrument, capable of filling in places that were empty before. Tuned a fifth lower than the guitar, the Baritone lets you play "tic-tac" bass or chords.
